To the family and friends of the person who killed my son,

Do not mistake this for an attempt at understanding or peace. This is about truth—plain and unfiltered.

My son is gone because someone you love chose anger over humanity. In one moment, they decided their rage mattered more than a human life—and my son paid for that decision with everything.

You may still get to stand beside them, speak to them, support them, and call them by name. We don’t. We were left with ashes, memories, and a lifetime of silence where my son’s life used to be.

So before you offer excuses, before you try to soften what happened, or before you convince yourselves this was anything less than what it is—stop.

This was not just “road rage.” This was a life taken. A future erased. A family permanently broken.

And every time you defend them, minimize it, or avoid calling it what it truly is, you are part of the problem and choosing comfort over truth.

We don’t have that option.

Imagine for just a moment if someone did this to your dad, mom, brother sister or your own child.

Imagine the hurt, anger, sadness and sense of loss you would feel.

This is now my life every single day

We live every day with what they did. Every holiday, every birthday, every quiet moment is a reminder that my son should still be here—and he isn’t because of a choice that can never be undone.

So don’t look away from it. Don’t dress it up. Don’t pretend time will make this easier or somehow balance the scales.

Nothing will.

My son mattered. His life had meaning. And what was taken from him—and from us—deserves to be faced with honesty, not excuses.

We will carry his name forward. We will demand accountability. And we will never allow what happened to be minimized or forgotten.

Whether you are ready to face that or not does not change the truth.
